Purchasing Specialist 1.8 1.8 out of 5 stars Ashaway, RI 02804 • Hybrid work Muff’s Motorsports LLC is one of the largest powersports salvage companies on the east coast, parting out ATVs, UTVs, jet skis, dirt bikes and snowmobiles. In addition, we sell a wide range of new parts from dealer buyouts, auctions, and inventory closeouts. We are looking to increase production throughout 2025 which will require a surplus of inventory to process. Specialist will also need to analyze the market and locate new opportunities for growth. This position will play a crucial role in our operations by building strong relationships with sellers, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with various sellers to ensure product availability, competitive pricing, and profitability.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Buyer Duties:

Search through eBay, Facebook, Craigslist and other auction sites for inventory. Establish positive working relationships with dealers. Research product value. Negotiate pricing and evaluate costs. Monitor and bid on auctions, online and on-site. Arrange pickup and delivery. Coordinate drop shipping from external vendors. Maintain a neat & professional appearance in compliance with company dress code.

Driving Duties:

Coordinate drop shipping from external vendors. Provide daily inspection of vehicles and equipment. Operate standard equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks, stretch wrap, etc.) Able to drive, sit, and load/unload product throughout an entire shift.

Qualifications and Skills:

Background in motorsports. Personal or professional, with an extensive knowledge of parts and machines. Sales and or purchasing experience. Self-sufficient and able to work with little supervision. Advanced computer skills, being highly proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel. Outstanding time management with strong analytical and financial skills. Clear communication skills. Ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously. Excellent organizational skills. Professional in demeanor and appearance. Have a positive disposition. Requirements Travel is required and is expected on at least three days per week. Must be at least 25 years of age, have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record, and will be required to pass a drug test and a DOT physical. The company vehicle provided is a commercial vehicle which is required to follow all DOT regulations and Hours of Service. Salaried position. Purchasing Specialist will make their own travel schedule and will be expected to procure 50 machines a month (purchased and delivered).

$60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
