We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Coordinator to oversee all procurement operations for our organization. This position is responsible for purchasing, inventory management, and vendor relations to ensure cost-effective, timely, and high-quality supply of goods. Day in the Life of a Purchasing Coordinator at
Colleton River:
Communicate and coordinate with assigned departments to understand purchasing needs. Source vendors and negotiate pricing to optimize quality and cost; review bids for assigned purchases and recommend the preferred vendor. Create, issue, and track all purchase orders, ensuring orders are placed in a timely manner to meet operational and/or project needs. Monitor budget adherence and report on purchasing trends and cost-saving opportunities. Oversee all food, beverage, and operating supply purchasing for multiple dining outlets and banquet operations. Issue and track all transfers of goods between inventory locations. Maintain accurate inventory records; perform quarterly physical inventories and reconcile discrepancies. Code all food & beverage invoices accurately by department and cost center; assign invoices to appropriate staff for approval. Ensure compliance with Internal Control Policies and Procedures. Other duties which may be assigned.
Typical Schedule:
Monday through Fridays 8:00am – 5:00pm, on-site Some weekends may be required based on inventory schedule

Requirements:
3+ years of purchasing or inventory management experience in a hospitality, club, or restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of food & beverage products, vendors, and ordering systems. Experience with invoice coding, purchase orders, and financial controls. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting/invoice software (e.g., Jonas, BevSpot, Quadient-Beanworks) is a plus. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
