Buyer 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars North Charleston, SC 29405 We are looking for a detail-oriented Buyer to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing procurement activities to support production schedules and organizational needs. This position requires strong analytical skills, effective communication with suppliers, and the ability to maintain accurate system data.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and expedite order statuses to ensure alignment with production schedules and organizational material requirements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date data within the company’s procurement systems. Communicate effectively with suppliers to guarantee timely delivery of correct parts at agreed pricing and quantities. Analyze and adjust the material requirements plan for assigned commodities to meet operational needs. Compile and evaluate data to prepare reports for the Purchasing Department and management. Support the quoting process for new customer assembly builds and ongoing business opportunities. Create, modify, and manage purchase orders in accordance with organizational requirements. Participate in cross-functional team meetings to align on procurement and organizational objectives. Strong knowledge of ERP systems, including SAP, and familiarity with budget and buying processes. Experience with data mining techniques to analyze procurement trends. Ability to ensure compliance with organizational standards and procurement regulations. Excellent customer service skills to manage supplier relationships effectively. Strong analytical abilities to evaluate purchasing data and adjust plans accordingly.
