Job Summary:
A Buyer is responsible for purchasing materials,supplies or equipment for a business. Their duties includenegotiating deals with suppliers, researching possible itemselections and taking inventory of current products.
Responsibilities:
Develop yearly RFQ packages to negotiate and optimize cost ofraw materials, supplies and other products. Track negotiation progress using custom made reports for Toppurchased items. Develop and execute suitable Vendor Agreements for allsuppliers and ensure compliance using vendor scorecards, factoryvisits, audits, random testing and customer complaints andfeedback. Establishes procedures to accomplish procurement of a varietyof materials in a cost-effective manner. Establishes Purchasing performance metrics and drives forprogress towards assigned targets and goals. Analyzes key data and prepares monthly performance reports, andpresents to senior management. Develop channels of supply and Key Performance Indicators(KPIs), driving optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), continuousimprovements and project savings opportunities and mitigation ofsupply chain risks. Establishes purchasing policies and procedures and directspurchasing programs accordingly. Work cross-functionally and with vendors to develop clear andconcise product specifications, including packaging, warehousing,labeling and shipping requirements, for all goods andservices. Build relationships with suppliers. Any other duties that the Company in its sole discretion mayassign as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to troubleshoot and multitask. Electrical mathematic and unit conversion skills. High attention to detail and is willing to learn. Team player who is reliable and trustworthy. Maintains a clean and safe work area. Verbal and written communication skills in English. Organizational skills and attention to detail. Microsoft Office Suite experience with strong Excel skills,required. Time management skills with a proven ability to meetdeadlines.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma / GED, required. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, preferred.
Related experience can replace this requirement. 5+ of experience directly related to the duties andresponsibilities specified. Previous experience in purchasing/procurement, required.
