We are offering a permanent employment opportunity in the Healthcare and Social Assistance industry in Greenville, South Carolina. We are seeking a Buyer who will be responsible for managing supplier purchase orders, analyzing inventory data, and optimizing inventory levels.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and process changes to supplier purchase orders
- Expedite backorders, quotes, and order changes as necessary
- Use inventory management systems for tracking stock levels and generating orders
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable to review and correct problem invoices
- Take corrective measures with suppliers for non-conforming purchases and maintain a record of actions taken
- Source alternative items when necessary based on daily backorder report
- Conduct research on new items for customer service and sales representatives
- Prepare specifications and quotes for special orders, direct shipments, and equipment
- Negotiate with vendors to ensure the best quality and cost
- Assist in managing supplier agreements and find alternative sourcing arrangements when necessary
- Maintain the integrity of inventory records, including updates on supplier requisition requirements, costs, etc.
- Generate regular inventory reports for management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement
- Participate in the company’s Performance Management program as requested
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, including adjusting reorder points and replenishment strategies
- Detail-oriented experience as a Chef is required.
- Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is essential.
- Familiarity with Epicor software is a must.
- Strong knowledge of ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary.
- Experience with ERP Solutions is required.
- Ability to use About Time software effectively.
- Should be able to handle Accounting Functions with accuracy.
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary.
- Understanding of Buying Processes in the healthcare industry is required.
- Excellent Communication skills are essential.
