MAU is hiring a Buyer for Cameron Ashley in Greer, SC. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for procuring assigned building material products at the lowest possible cost to support company strategies and customer needs across distribution channels. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

General Requirements
Ability to counsel internal customers and communicate effectively across teams
Capability to provide field communications and guidance
Experience in a high-volume buying or purchasing role
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to focus on value-added tasks amidst interruptions
Understanding of changing market conditions across large geographic areas
Experience implementing field directives effectively
Ability to act as an intermediary between suppliers and operations/sales
Strong MS Office skills, especially Word and Excel
Preferred Experience
Experience in negotiation and strong communication skills
Building material industry experience and product knowledge
General knowledge of NxTrend or similar operating system
Essential Functions
Procure assigned building material product groups at optimal cost
Execute company strategies related to products and core offerings
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, merchants, and leadership
Analyze sales margin, average cost, sales dollars, net profit, and units sold
Monitor and adjust warehouse inventory levels
Communicate effectively with supplier and internal teams on market conditions
Track supplier performance through a supplier scorecard
Identify and act on cost-saving opportunities
