MAU is hiring a Buyer for our client in Greenville, SC. As a Buyer, you will lead the development and execution of purchasing processes within the Materials Management Organization. You will strategically develop and manage a global supply plan for goods and services, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and cost efficiency. This is a contract position with direct-hire potential. This is an 18-month contract project with direct hire potential.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree OR a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, materials planning, inventory management, or warehouse/distribution centers
4 years of experience in a Buyer, Purchasing, or Scheduler position
Essential Functions
Ensure timely creation and release of Purchase Orders to support the primary schedule
Collaborate with supply partners and Materials Resource Planners to drive fulfillment activities and ensure on-time delivery
Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution, including scheduling changes and cancellations
Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the ERP system
Apply sourcing policies and execute sourcing program initiatives, including deflation activities and supply chain risk mitigation
Support initiatives such as lead time reduction, New Product Introduction (NPI), payment terms, and cash flow improvements
Manage projects within a global matrix organization
Act as the primary contact for supply partners regarding operational needs
