State Fleet is responsible for centralized oversight of a comprehensive statewide fleet management program of all state-owned fleet vehicles for the state of SC. In this position, you will serve in a critical ancillary role for the compliance team in support of all critical functions that require time-sensitive response and attention to detail including, vehicle acquisition and disposal requests, titles of all state vehicles, Commercial Vendor Repair Program (CVRP) billing, permanent assignments, confidential tags, state seal exemptions, and adding equipment to FleetWave database. Procurement Specialist I:

Assist in processing of all vehicle transactions ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal laws pertaining to the procurement policies. Coordinate and maintain accurate and current license tags and titles for all state-owned vehicles. Audit critical support functions concerning titles, permanent assignments, confidential tags, state seal exemptions, and adding equipment to fleet management database. Utilize available references and resources to ensure correct data is maintained in the fleet management information system and title requests (requires critical time sensitive response). Assist with coordinating monthly and annual reports to ensure accuracy and compliance of fleet management. Serve as a backup for receptionist as needed. Minimum and Additional Requirements A high school diploma and work experience directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the relevant work experience.

Additional Requirements:

Must be computer literate. Skilled at extensive data input, and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Position may be required to work during emergency situations. Must possess a valid South Carolina Class D Driver’s License. May be occasionally required to work overtime. college transcript to the interview.
