Performs specialized procurement duties with an understanding of the provisions of the South Carolina Procurement Code as well as the Attorney General’s policies and procedures in support of the agency’s strategic goals. Process shopping carts, purchase orders, purchase requests, payments, and invoices via SCEIS; assist with developing and issuing solicitations—invitations for bids (IFBs), requests for proposals (RFPs), and requests for quotations (RFQs). Ensures all procurement activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and state and agency policies. Completes quarterly procurement reports, end-of-year reports, and other onboarding duties as assigned. Assist the Purchasing Manager in developing a long-term procurement strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Assists with updating and maintaining the procurement and purchasing card manual; assists with annual inventory audit. May assist with procurement training for office staff. Receives general purchase deliveries when notified by the receptionist, signs the delivery ticket/receipt, and forwards to the appropriate staff. Additional Requirements:
Able to lift to 50 lbs. Occasionally, move small furniture, boxes, supplies, and equipment upon receipt. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff, vendors, officials and outside entities. Good, effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently with accuracy and able to meet deadlines. Ability to conduct market research, identify potential suppliers, and assess their capabilities and pricing structures for recommendations. Ability to identify trends, analyze supplier performance and make informed procurement decisions. Proficient and knowledgeable with SCEIS processing requisitions, shopping carts, purchase order, receipt of purchases and related SCEIS procurement tasks.
Strong Microsoft suite:
