Our commitment to innovation and excellence has positioned us as a leader in packaging and material handling solutions, and we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to support our growing operations.

Position Summary:

The Purchasing Agent is responsible for sourcing materials, components, and services at competitive prices and ensuring timely delivery to maintain production schedules. This role works closely with suppliers and internal departments to manage inventory levels and ensure the procurement process aligns with company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain best pricing, quality, and delivery terms. Issue purchase orders and monitor their progress to ensure on-time delivery. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance. Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production planning to forecast material requirements. Resolve issues related to delivery delays, product quality, price, and/ or vendor performance. Identify opportunities to reduce purchasing costs and improve supplier relationships. Stay informed on market trends, pricing, and supply chain risks. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Coordinate with accounting to resolve invoice problems. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar procurement role, preferably in manufacturing. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite. High attention to detail and analytical mindset. Ability to read drawings and technical specifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
