Water Plant Road, Knoxville, TN 37914 Join Our Team and Take Ownership of Inventory Excellence! Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for purchasing, vendor relationships, and inventory control? We’re looking for a sharp, detail-driven Product Buyer to help shape our product availability and drive purchasing performance. This role is all about making sure the right products are in the right place at the right time —from managing purchase orders and forecasts to ensuring smooth communication with vendors and internal teams. What You’ll Do Create and manage accurate purchase orders to meet inventory goals. Oversee product replenishment, order cycles, lead times & forecasts. Partner with Product Managers on special deals and aged inventory solutions. Track shipments, manage open PO reports, and resolve delivery issues. Monitor inventory levels, out-of-stock items, and service levels. Maintain accurate pricing, forecasts, and item setups. Own your categories and drive smart purchasing decisions. Communicate vendor updates, ETA changes, and discontinued items. Use AS/400 system for order updates and inventory management. What You Bring Excellent negotiation, communication & vendor management skills. Strong analytical mindset — love digging into data and trends. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to travel occasionally for trade shows, vendor visits, or markets. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable. Education & Experience Associate’s degree preferred. Previous buying, merchandising, or purchasing experience preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk. Able to lift up to 15 lbs occasionally.
