Purchaser Precision Laser & MFG LLC 80 Motivation Drive, Lawrenceburg, TN 38464 Precision Laser & MFG LLC is a designer and builder of specialty racking for the automotive industry, with 3 plants in Canada, 2 in the USA and 1 in Mexico. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Purchaser to join our team. As a Purchaser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services for our organization. If you have a strong background in supply chain management and are skilled in contract negotiation, we want to hear from you. The successful candidate for this position will have at least 3+ years experience purchasing steel for a metal fabrication plant , which must be clearly defined in a resume. Duties Experience purchasing for a ” job shop ” with little to no inventory onsite Purchasing steel, aluminum, required hardware and dunnage per job on a daily basis Ability to multitask several job orders at once Provide daily feedback to management team regarding deliveries and/ordelays with a solution on how to get back on track Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery capabilities Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and terms Call and visit suppliers to establish relationships Collaborate with management team to understand their procurement needs and requirements Manage the process from requisition to purchase order Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that may arise Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information Implement quality management processes to ensure compliance with industry standards Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or a related field Proven experience as a Purchaser or in a similar procurement role Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices Excellent negotiation and contract management skills Familiarity with sourcing strategies and techniques Knowledge of materials management and logistics processes Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions If you are a driven professional with a passion for procurement and have the skills necessary to excel in this role, we encourage you to apply.
