Full Job Description Overview:

Manage all Non-Ferrous commercial and operational activities within the Ferrous Division.

Responsibilities:

Manage and execute the Division’s Non-Ferrous volume and margin growth strategy. Establish and manage nonferrous procurement activities and buying pricing to achieve Division’s nonferrous growth strategy. Assist Divisional procurement team on evaluating and pricing bids/quotes that include nonferrous items. Maintain Division’s Nonferrous Available for Sale and Division’s sales position and work with the Nonferrous Group Commodity Sales and Export Teams to coordinate sales quantities, sales pricing, delivery schedules, and finished goods quality. Work with Division’s nonferrous operations to ensure production schedules align with sales volume targets/commitments, delivery schedules, and customer quality requirements. Manage Non-Ferrous inventory levels in accordance with Division’s nonferrous strategy. Work with Divisional personnel to establish and maintain training for material identification, purchasing, scale operations, upgrading of material, packaging of material, consumer quality specifications, and inventory control. Review claims, quality issues, and short pays on divisional nonferrous shipments and provide feedback to operations teams. Continuously monitor nonferrous commodity markets (Comex, LME, etc.) and local/regional markets (Dealer, Retail, etc.).

Qualifications:

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Previous sales or procurement experience. Working knowledge of scrap pricing, material identification, costs, operations, and transportation. Ability to generate and qualify leads, negotiate, and close deals. Working knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word and a CRM. Experience with ERP system is a plus. Ability to work independently and in a team setting. Flexible schedule, as travel is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field required.
