Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee, on a Contract-to-Permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials to support our global aircraft and engine sales operations. This position requires strong analytical skills, supplier evaluation expertise, and the ability to negotiate effectively to meet business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Source and procure materials to meet operational and sales requirements.
- Research and evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, availability, and reliability.
- Prepare and issue bid proposals, analyze responses, and negotiate contracts with selected vendors.
- Generate and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of stock or customer-specific requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, costs, inventories, and supplier performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve issues related to defective or unacceptable goods or services.
- Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and address any logistics challenges.
- Analyze market trends and price fluctuations to optimize purchasing strategies.
- Perform cost and risk assessments to ensure informed procurement decisions.
- Stay informed about industry standards, documentation requirements, and best practices for repairs and traceability. Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement platforms
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, including RFQ and RFP procedures.
- Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Ability to perform cost analysis and manage budgets effectively.
- Knowledge of aviation materials, supply chains, and industry standards is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
