Job Responsibilities:
- Uses knowledge of equipment within a trade area to source equipment supply requests (including HVAC parts, pools, and appliances) from contractors at the best possible price and terms.
- Uses a sourcing database to locate available equipment from approved suppliers.
- Research and order requested equipment from the most cost-effective suppliers.
- Works directly with contractors to resolve discrepancies in the purchase orders and determines correct equipment needed or arranges for substitutions, etc.
- Processes returns for cancellations.
- Enters purchase orders and documents purchases within the customer claim.
- Answers inbound calls and makes outbound calls, and provides necessary follow-up.
- May assume other duties as applied.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing trade is a plus
- Ability to provide customer service and conflict resolution effectively
- Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Web)
- Good attention to detail skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
Minimum Education:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Minimum Experience required?(number of years necessary to perform role):
- 1+ years customer service and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
