Job Description
Carrier Relations Clerk is responsible for providing customer service support for our Sales and Operation teams, as well as our internal and external business partners. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, strong multi-tasking abilities, a friendly, positive demeanor, and the ability to build relationships and communicate clearly. Carrier Relations Clerk responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following: Responsible for ensuring that our freight is moving with Carriers that have been properly vetted in compliance with all our required standards Updating our TMS system (McLeod) so that only active, verified and compliant carriers are available to the CPE and Operations teams Daily follow up with Carriers on compliance related issues when alerted via the Highway software Working with Carriers and our Operations team to ensure all High Value loads and Elevated Risk loads verifications take place during the course of the shipments Investigate and action fraud alerts on active loads Provide administrative support for the logistics Sales and Operations teams Coordination, audit, and implementation/onboarding of new and existing partner Carriers utilizing the Highway software, as well as deactivating partner Carriers as necessary Verification, imaging, and follow-up of documentation regarding carrier compliance Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with our partner carriers Foster strong and positive communication between internal and external customers Verify all email communication from unverified contacts to our operations team Proactively research and audit carriers continuously to prevent fraud Collect and verify required documentation from carriers for all ERL loads
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High school diploma or GED Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word, as well as internet applications 2+ years’ customer service or administrative office experience Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing Ability to answer and route multiple phone calls while staying on task Ability to investigate partner carrier concerns and solve them in a timely manner Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing unmatched customer service Ability to work independently and within a team environment Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently; Spanish a plus Previous domestic or international logistics or transportation experience a plus Previous McLeod and CargoWise freight management software experience a plus Previous Highway, Carrier 411, Front experience a plus
