Integrated Solutions Position Summary:

The Material Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all freight and cargo movement activities in support of outload operations. This position provides supervisory support in the absence of the site supervisor and offers technical oversight on all aspects of freight movement, including truckload, less-than-truckload (LTL), and small parcel shipments. The Material Coordinator ensures compliance with transportation regulations, maintains documentation, and supports team training and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and coordinate all freight operations within the Fort Bragg area and designated off-site locations, including general, hazardous, and sensitive cargo, in accordance with Defense Transportation System (DTS) requirements. Provide supervisory oversight and serve as acting supervisor when necessary. Train and guide team members on freight shipping procedures in compliance with the Defense Transportation Regulation (DTR), Military Freight Traffic Unified Rules Publication-1 (MFTURP-1), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and industry best practices. Ensure all operating procedures are current and aligned with regulatory and doctrinal standards. Utilize and train employees on transportation systems such as Cargo Movement Operating System (CMOS) and Global Freight Management (GFM). Monitor, track, and trace inbound and outbound freight shipments to ensure timely delivery and receipt. Review and validate subordinate load plans for outload missions. Prepare and process documentation including bills of lading, air/water clearances, and shipping labels. Receive and process all categories of shipments (truckload, LTL, and small package). Manage the use and security of government and commercial cargo seals. Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols during all handling and transport operations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or freight operations. Demonstrated knowledge of cargo movement regulations, including the DTR and

MFTURP-1.

Strong ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong organizational and analytical abilities. Proficient in the use of standard office equipment and freight management systems. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks, including prolonged standing, walking, and working in varying environmental conditions (hot, cold, wet). Experience with material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Valid driver’s license required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
