The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the importation of goods, ensuring compliance with regulations, and facilitating smooth operations within the distribution center. This position requires proficiency in order fulfillment processes, shipping and receiving, and effective communication skills to coordinate with various stakeholders. Duties will

Include:

Ocean Freight Obtain ocean freight rates from forwarders and submit to management for approval Advise forwarders when approved Monitor ETA’s Obtain arrival notices, send to customs broker and advise broker if the rate is approved. Imports Obtain ISF, send to custom broker Send commercial documents to custom broker Track ETA’s & FDA releases Trucking Obtain rates and submit to management for approval Prepare customer releases, send to management for approval, once approved forward to warehouse and carrier Receive confirmation from warehouse and carrier release has been received Follow up with carrier delivery date is confirmed Maintain electronic files for outbound BOL’s & POD’s Invoices Review and approve trucker and warehouse invoices forward to main office Confirm to vendor invoice has been received Scheduled Reporting Shipment report every Monday Customer delivery report Monday, Wednesday, and Friday Qualifications Previous experience with Import Logistics environment is required. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately. Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with internal management and external partners.
