DESCRIPTION

The Corporate President is a top executive who reports to the CEO. The President leads the company’s strategy and overall performance, while ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and the Department of Defense’s objectives. The President leads the company’s executive technical group, establishing and overseeing the company’s subsidiaries’ growth, business development, strategy, and profitability. The President develops the vision for the company’s future, the plan to materialize that vision, and works to execute the plan into reality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership:

Develop and implement the company’s long-term strategic plan, aligning with the DoD’s mission and vision.
Set company goals and objectives, ensuring they are measurable and achievable.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the DoD sector.
Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to ensure the company remains competitive.

Operational Oversight:

Oversee all aspects of the company’s operations, including finance, human resources, procurement, and logistics.
Ensure efficient and effective use of resources, including personnel, equipment, and facilities.
Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and DoD policies.
Ensure high-quality performance across all departments and projects. Leadership Lead and motivate the company’s executive technical team and employees.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Provide guidance and support to employees, ensuring they have the resources and training they need to succeed.
Represent the company in meetings with government officials, industry partners, and other stakeholders.

Financial Management:

Oversee the company’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Ensure the company is profitable and financially stable for contract execution.
Coordinate with the CEO to manage the company’s cash flow requirements.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure the company complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and DoD policies.
Identify and mitigate potential contract performance risks to the company.
Maintain strong internal controls to prevent fraud and waste.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field and Master’s degree required; PhD strongly preferred.

Experience:

Extensive experience in senior technical management roles, progressing with time from PM to SrPM to Director, VP, and President within the DoD or defense contracting industry. While military and GS time are applicable, some experience in management roles in industry is desired to mitigate transitional performance risk.

Skills:

Strong technical leadership, strategic planning, financial management, and communication skills.

Knowledge:

In-depth knowledge of the DoD contracting process, the acquisition process, industry regulations, and best business practices.

Other:

Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure, a strong commitment to ethical conduct, and an internal drive to achieve mission success ahead of schedule and within cost.
