- Under policy direction of the Vice President, Technology, plans, organizes, integrates, manages and evaluates the day-to-day activities of the Credit Unions Technology Division which includes Technology and Information Systems, Technology Core Systems and Technology Operations Support departments, as well as the Business Continuity Coordinator and Technology Compliance Analyst; oversees and directs planning and implementation of strategic plans; ensures projects are designed and implemented efficiently and effectively; directs division business continuity planning to minimize risk.

- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes, evaluates and manages the work of the Technology Division which includes the Technology and Information Systems, Technology Core Systems and Technology Operations Support departments, along with the Business Continuity Coordinator and Technology Compliance Analyst; with subordinate supervisors, participates in establishing business, operational and member service plans/initiatives to meet assigned goals and objectives; utilizes department/division resources effectively and implements plans, programs and work processes and procedures necessary to achieve designated department results; coordinates and integrates assigned functions within the department and across the Credit Union•Provides leadership and works with supervisors and staff to develop and retain highly competent, member service-oriented staff through selection, training and day-to-day management practices that support the departments mission and strategic goals•Oversees the development, design and implementation of policies, procedures, controls, and custom software applications; manages and reviews analyses of business processes and user requirements; evaluates compatibility and conformance within the Credit Unions technology environment•Participates in development and execution of project plans, budgets and metrics for new enterprise technology solutions and related initiatives; coordinates and participates in planning implementation with divisions across the credit union to achieve seamless installation/integration and mitigate risk to member service delivery and the Credit Unions technology environment•Oversees the development and implementation of technology plans; leads and manages staff in the development, selection and implementation of new technologies; develops teamwork and collaborative relationships within and across departments•Oversees the development and implementation of applications software to support credit union operational productivity and enhanced member service; ensures systems and electronic channel availability, reliability and performance are maintained at high levels; reviews and ensures systems and operations are in conformance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements; directs and participates in development and enforcement of the Divisions business continuity and disaster recovery plans, processes and procedures•Ensures the proper installation, configuration, testing, integration and administration of servers and software in development, production and public-facing environments; using applicable tools and utilities, monitors infrastructure performance, including utilization and availability; oversees performance tuning to achieve optimal system speed, reliability and performance•Researches, troubleshoots and resolves complex and ambiguous problems often involving a combination of hardware, software, internally developed and vendor applications and database structure configuration, network communication failures and other problems; installs and tests software patches, releases, upgrades and fixes; researches and coordinates resolution of software version conflicts and issues; evaluates software and other technology tools and recommends system upgrades or replacements•Develops and maintains effective vendor relationships; negotiates new and renewed contracts for products and services; monitors to ensure vendor/service provider Service Level Agreements are met; escalates the resolution of system and service problems and issues, when necessary, to ensure prompt and effective resolution•Develops, implements and enforces corporate policies and procedures for information security and disaster response/recovery; serves on the Change Management Committee; oversees and participates in a variety of internal and external technology audits and compliance reviews•Participates in developing the annual division budget; oversees implementation of the approved division budget and monitors performance versus the budget throughout the fiscal year•Keeps abreast of, monitors and analyzes developing trends and changes in technology and data security requirements; advises credit union management of the operational impact of such trends/ changes; develops appropriate revisions to policies, procedures and processes when necessitated by new regulations or security threats•Finds ways to continually improve the efficiency of departmental processes to provide the best service to our members; participates in the development and implementation of business plans and budgets for areas of responsibility•Plans and evaluates the performance of supervisors and staff; establishes performance requirements and personal development targets for staff; monitors and evaluates performance; provides coaching for performance improvement and development; ensures staff maintain current knowledge of and compliance with regulatory requirements and Credit Union policies and procedures; determines proper ways to reward and recognize performance; takes disciplinary action, to address performance deficiencies, in accordance with the Credit Unions human resources policies and procedures•Maintains current knowledge of and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and Credit Union policies and procedures affecting each departments supervised.
Ensures that uniform operating procedures are developed based on the level of risk for all areas of responsibility
