Remote Position Overview:
This role involves managing and delivering superior service and production support to sales organizations. The VP is responsible for in-scope fulfillment activities, including documentation gathering and validation, closing, post-closing, TRID-related disclosures, service management, and performance across multiple products (HELOAN, purchase, government, conventional, assumptions, etc.). The VP oversees operational performance and continuous improvement efforts for all in-scope fulfillment activities. The VP is a senior contributor to the overall CD strategy and execution, maintaining strong communication across relevant stakeholders. The VP sets the tone for service, execution, change, and risk management, ensuring actions and behavior drive a positive customer experience while operating within the company’s risk appetite.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and own performance metrics relevant to the area of domain, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with organizational goals. Manage budget, understanding drivers and overall costs of operations. Provide leadership and guidance to direct and indirect reports, fostering leadership skills and career growth. Interact with the sales team to create cohesive, streamlined efforts that minimize friction and maximize throughput. Evaluate and respond to internal and external reviews and audits related to quality control, quality assurance, compliance, and other reviews. Collaborate with Information Technology on system upgrades, changes, and emerging needs. Manage third-party providers/vendors to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Review investor standards and government regulations to ensure changes are communicated and implemented in Policies and Procedures. Continuously evaluate and optimize processes, timelines, and customer satisfaction, updating Policies and Procedures as needed. Perform other responsibilities as requested by management to achieve company goals and drive improvements. Occasional travel may be required (10-15%).
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills. Ability to manage multiple sites, personalities, and changing business/market conditions. Detail-driven, highly responsive, and analytical. Strong initiative and ability to motivate a team. Successful history of leading, developing, and mentoring staff. Ability to meet deadlines with quality output.
Education and Experience:
College degree preferred or equivalent experience in mortgage banking originations and management. Minimum 10 years of management/leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a mortgage banking environment. Strong PC skills (MS Office Suite) and experience with mortgage origination systems, platforms, tools, and technology, particularly Encompass. Applied knowledge of regulatory requirements, government-sponsored enterprise loan program requirements, and mortgage documents. Certifications, Licenses, and/or

NMLS state licenses are beneficial but not essential.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Regularly required to sit and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls. Frequently required to talk and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms. Rarely required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
