Responsibilities:
Provide administrative oversight to Nursing staff in areas suchas clinical quality, customer service, human capital management,culture and engagement, information systems, process management andlean management principles, finances and general clinicoperations. Exercise leadership and management responsibility over allfunctions within this management portfolio, ensuring efficientservices designed to meet the needs of patients, physicians, thepublic, and staff. Participate with other senior personnel in analyzing, planning,and formulating strategy for clinic entity goals and implementingplans and programs; analyze practice operations and needs todetermine potential enhancements or improvements to procedures andactivities. Liaison with all levels of administration, physicians, staff,Marketing, outside organizations, etc., to coordinate the businessof the assigned region, accomplish directives, and facilitate theresolution of problems. Work with leadership teams throughout the system, serving as aresource to help reduce costs, enhance revenues, achieve effectiveutilization and quality goals and objectives, and analyze andutilize information to develop and support managementdecisions. Develop and foster effective collaboration between otherdepartments to ensure an integrated approach to providing servicesand fulfilling our operational goals and objectives. Direct the compilation of and/or preparation of operational orfinancial reports and analyses, setting forth progress, adversetrends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions. Assure theachievement of balanced scorecard targets. Determine regional fiscal requirements and approve budgetaryrecommendations for assigned practices; monitor and verifyreconciliation of expenditure of budgeted funds. Establish major schedules, task assignments, and allocations ofmanpower, space, and equipment to ensure conformance withcommitments for assigned clinics/practices. May direct the strategic assessment of marketplace needs, thecompetitive environment, cost management, and customer-focusedprograms and services. Develop new business strategies to enhancemarket share and improve overall performance. May be responsible for managing physician contracts as theypertain to compensation, benefits, termination, schedules, andliability/malpractice coverage (for outside activities). Direct various personnel functions including, but not limitedto, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers, andvacation schedules. Perform other duties related to the work describedherein.
Required Qualifications at this
LevelEducation:
Work requiresorganizational, analytical, and communication skills, which areacquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program in abusiness or healthcare-related field. A master’s degree in abusiness or healthcare-related field is stronglypreferred.
Experience:
Five years of clinic/practice management orother related healthcare administration experience is required. Theexperience includes practice operations and financial analyses.
Ideal candidates will have a background in practice operations,including patient flow quality and safety. They will also have abackground in financial analysis and a demonstrated understandingof the revenue cycle.
