Job Summary:
The Vice President, Market Operations is responsiblefor developing the overall market program strategy and businessobjectives; lead the alignment and collaboration to establishCareSource as the industry leader in member and providerengagement, member and provider experience, and plan management inthe market.
Essential Functions:
Develop the overall market program strategy and businessobjectives; lead the alignment and collaboration to establishCareSource as the industry leader in member and providerengagement, member and provider experience, and plan management inthe market Primary responsibility for translating business/program visionand strategy into operational tactics and building the necessaryorganizational support and infrastructure In new markets, lead program implementation, allocateimplementation team resources, and facilitate ongoing operations;establish post-implementation strategy and goals to mitigateprogram risks Ongoing responsibility for day-to-day program operations formarket, including establishing and overseeing controls to ensurerequirements are in place Responsible for leading regular market business reviews withvarious stakeholder groups (including, but not limited to, humanresources, information technology, finance, Business Partner Group,quality improvement, and Care Management) to ensure marketrequirements are being met Develop, translate and execute key strategies orfunctional/operational requirements for market Facilitate leadership team in the establishment oforganizational goals and priorities to align and focus theorganization Ensure market operations achieves its short
- and long-termstrategic priorities with maximum effectiveness and efficiency Oversee allocation of staffing resources and responsibilitiesfor market operations Initiate and oversee operational plans and initiatives tocreate cross-functional capabilities required across key functionalareas In collaboration with corporate compliance, escalate key issuesand work to resolve to maintain contract compliance andresponsiveness, develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of thecompany’s regulatory environment, and assist in transformingregulatory procedures into polices, plan changes, reporting orother operational outcomes Collaborate with Finance and Data Management to developinternal reporting for ongoing management as well as production ofexternal reporting for compliance Work with management to oversee departmental finances/budgetand sales forecast/budget are met Perform any other job duties as requested
Education andExperience:
Bachelor of Science degree in finance, business, or health carefield or equivalent work experience is required Master’s degree is preferred Five (5) years of health plan operations (IE
- claims,enrollment, provider agreements, etc.
) experience is required Five (5) years of leading division and corporate initiatives todrive systemic change and consumer adoption of health insurance andengagement initiatives is required Five years of management experience in managed care setting isrequired

Licensureand Certification:
