The Corporate Communications Manager I manages/leads development and/or execution of plans/programs/projects/strategies by designing and delivering communications consistent with TD’s corporate standards and strategies, and in support of business results. This role will provide strategic communications advice and counsel in support of Technology and The Chief Operating Officer Group in the U.S. Candidate will work closely with business leaders to develop communication strategies that drive business results, elevate the brands of the businesses and their leaders, enhance the colleague experience, and create a culture of engaged and informed employees. While there will be an internal communications component to this role, there is opportunity to promote leaders externally.
Depth & Scope:

Education & Experience:
+ Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent required + 5+ years relevant experience + Proficient knowledge of multiple communications disciplines, media channels, internal/external audiences, public relations, consulting principles, lines of businesses supported, banking industry, and customers supported + Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends + Knowledge of risk management environment, standards and regulations + Ability to manage a budget and work within the constraints of that budget + Ability to lead, plan, implement and evaluate program/project activities to ensure completion of initiatives + Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions + Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form + Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships + Skilled in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques + Skilled in using computer applications including MS Office + Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines + Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently + Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
