We’ve been in business for over 6 years and recently opened our second retail location. We’re a close-knit, hard-working team with a strong reputation and loyal customer base. We are still very much a startup —but we’re not starting from scratch. We’re on the verge of making a major impact in the Maine cannabis market , and we’re looking for a dedicated leader to help us scale fast, efficiently, and with purpose. Position Overview We’re hiring a Retail Operations Manager to oversee and optimize daily operations across multiple cannabis retail stores. This is a high-responsibility leadership role that requires retail management expertise, operational strategy skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset. This is not just a store manager position—it’s a chance to help build and scale a high-growth cannabis company from the inside. You’ll work side-by-side with the founder, take ownership of critical systems, and play a central role in driving the next phase of business development. Key Responsibilities Multi-location retail management : Ensure daily operations run smoothly across all stores. Inventory management : Build and maintain efficient systems for inventory control and product tracking (seed-to-sale software knowledge a plus). Wholesale coordination : Oversee product intake, vendor relationships, and purchasing strategy. Team leadership : Hire, train, and manage store staff; build a positive, accountable culture.

Compliance & SOPs :

Ensure adherence to Maine cannabis regulations; develop and implement store policies and procedures. Data & performance tracking : Analyze sales reports, inventory turnover, labor costs, and other KPIs to improve operations. Strategic partnership : Work closely with ownership to execute on growth strategies and operational improvements. Brand consistency : Maintain a consistent customer experience, aesthetic, and culture across all locations. Qualifications 3-5+ years of multi-store retail management experience (Cannabis industry preferred, but not required). Strong understanding of inventory systems , wholesale purchasing , and retail compliance . Experience with POS systems , seed-to-sale tracking platforms (e.g., Metrc, Biotrack), and retail reporting tools. Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable wearing multiple hats. Passion for cannabis , entrepreneurship , and operational excellence. A self-starter who thrives in startup environments and brings solutions, not just problems.
