Additional Information About the Role Vice President, Administrator for Southwest Missouri As a senior member of the leadership team this VP will provide strategic direction on operations. They will work effectively as a team member in a dynamic environment and promote teamwork within and across the organization by maintaining positive relationships and utilizing effective problem-solving skills. This leader will ensure effective and efficient operational processes for the pediatric service line and ambulatory settings in Southwest Missouri (SWMO).

Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose The Vice President, Administrator serves as the senior member of the leadership team providing strategic direction on operations. Works effectively as a team member In a dynamic environment and promotes teamwork within and across the organization by maintaining positive relationships and utilizing effective problem-solving skills. VP ensures effective and efficient operational processes for pediatric hospital and ambulatory settings in Southwest Missouri (SWMO). Communicates, directs, plans, organizes, and conducts financial monitoring to facilitate the delivery of cost-effective, high quality health care services. Develops and implements short- and long-term strategic growth and operational plans ensuring alignment with broader organization priorities. Leads, designs and implements processes to facilitate ease of access to pediatric services, ultimately leading to growth of pediatric care programs at hospital and outpatient sites. VP works in dyad relationships with physician leaders within academic medical environment. In dyad partnership with chief medical officer, directs and administers the operational aspects of the pediatric services across the hospital and outpatient sites of service. Executive presence required to serve as representative of hospital to external stakeholders and governing bodies. Responsibilities Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals. Demonstrates a strong financial orientation by developing and adhering to departmental staffing, revenue and expense budgets. Anticipates and responds to changes in the economic, healthcare and regulatory environments which may affect the ability to achieve departmental financial, service, community, regulatory and leadership development goals. Helps create breakthrough strategies and plans that reflect a deep understanding of how the organization and departments operate, anticipating and incorporating current and potential industry, regulatory, economic and demographic changes and their impact on the departments and the organization. Searches for opportunities to achieve fiscally responsible growth while meeting the department’s and organization’s obligations to communities served, regulatory bodies and organizational sustainability. Conducts disciplined planning and execution on all areas of responsibility; allocates resources toward optimum efficiency and effectiveness while balancing innovative approaches to identify, resolve and manage issues with uncompromising quality, standards and results. Develops self and others, creating an environment where people and the department are highly engaged and accomplish their best results via development, communications, rewards and recognition. Acts with integrity and in an ethical manner. Demonstrates accountability, responsibility and builds mutual trust. Enables and ensures cooperation – collaboration within the department and across organizational boundaries. Demonstrates an agility to cope effectively and lead large scale change and transformation in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
