Position Summary The Executive Vice President (EVP) is a key member of ERCU’s senior leadership team, responsible for supporting the strategic direction and operational effectiveness of the credit union. Reporting directly to the CEO, the EVP provides leadership in key functional areas, including operations, lending, finance, technology, and member services. The EVP ensures operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement while championing a culture that aligns with the credit union’s mission and values. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Collaborate with the CEO and Board of Directors in shaping and executing the credit union’s long-term strategic plan. Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, providing insights on business performance, growth opportunities, and organizational improvement. Operational Oversight Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple departments, ensuring high efficiency, quality service, and alignment with member needs. Monitor key performance indicators and implement action plans for continuous improvement. Financial and Risk Management Assist in the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Support compliance with regulatory requirements and risk management standards. Member Experience and Services Champion a member-first culture by enhancing the overall service delivery model. Ensure products and services meet the evolving needs of members, particularly emergency responders. People and Culture Leadership Lead and mentor department heads, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Promote staff development, retention, and alignment with organizational values. Technology and Innovation Support implementation and optimization of digital banking tools and operational systems. Identify innovative solutions to improve member service and internal efficiencies. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field — or equivalent experience in accounting or financial management. Strong background in financial operations, lending, and regulatory compliance. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage organizational change. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to the mission of serving first responders and the credit union community. Preferred Attributes Experience working with niche member groups such as law enforcement, fire services, or EMS. Familiarity with core banking systems and digital transformation in a financial institution setting. Community involvement and dedication to member education and financial wellness.
