Description of Work This position with NCDOT offers full State Benefits , competitive salaries and many career development opportunities. This position is exempt policy-making. Pending OSHR Approval. The NCDMV is seeking to hire an individual as the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles Chief Operating Officer. The selected individual will work under the supervision of the DMV Commissioner and will represent NCDMV by facilitating steps towards process improvements and adapting and implementing innovative solutions for all areas of NCDMV. This will also involve evaluating and adjusting these processes to ensure the changes have the best result possible. Key responsibilities for this position also include ensuring daily operations of NCDMV collectively are completed at maximum efficiency. This position will create and implement strategic plans that will lead NCDMV to a higher level of proficiency in services provided to the state of North Carolina. Another key responsibility for this position is working to improve the work culture and helping develop and maintain an environment where employees can thrive, grow and develop their career goals. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies Applicants must submit an application that clearly reflects work experience that demonstrates the following: Experience in project coordination
Experience collecting feedback from team members and employees for change implementation process
Experience leading organizational change initiatives Demonstrated ability to use problem solving skills to manage a diverse organization
Experience composing and presenting information to diverse audiences
