We are looking for a Director, Operations Control Manager to join the BNY team.

Job Summary:

The Operations Control Lead is a subject matter expert responsible for delivering the Operations Control Framework for the Platform. This role involves ensuring compliance with the Operations Practice Guardrails and standards to reduce operational risk events and losses. The Operations Control Lead collaborates with various teams to resolve disputes and escalates unresolved issues to the Head of Operations within Operations Practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement the Operations Control framework in alignment with Operations Practice Guardrails and standards Collaborate with the Operations and Platform teams to resolve disputes and escalate unresolved issues Participate in the Operations Control Forum to assess the overall health of the Operations control environment and prioritize resources Define and report control metrics to measure the health of the control environment Lead control reviews across Operations functions using Agile testing methodology Lead the development of the annual Evidence Based Control Testing (EBCT) plan for operations controls, collaborating, where relevant, with the Operations Lead, second line risk partners, Platform Control Lead, and Strategic Testing Group (STG) to ensure a comprehensive and effective testing approach Drive the notification process for Operations Risk Events (OREs) and perform root cause analysis Facilitate operations input and review issues identified for remediation related to SOC1, Regulatory reviews, Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR), Internal Audit reviews, SOX, and CASS testing Assess the quality of operational issues, tasks and process improvements as part of issues remediation and record such issues in ServiceNow to ensure timely resolution Lead the RCSA concurrence for operational controls on behalf of the Platform in conjunction with the Operations Lead and second line risk partners

Qualifications:

Proven experience in operations control management. Strong knowledge of operational risk management and control frameworks. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong communication and leadership skills. Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 12-15 years of total work experience, with 3-5 years of management experience, preferred.

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $147,000 and $273,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
