Job Description
A leading wealth manager in the Capital District, is expanding to Manhattan. In connection with its rapid growth, the firm is seeking a Chief Operating Officer – Wealth Management Degree in accounting or finance, self-starter, advance degree preferred. At least 7-10 years prior experience in wealth management is mandatory. Series 7, 63, 65 or 66 required. Client Communications o Schedule initial and regular client meetings o Maintain client CRM o Primary point of contact for client inquiries Client Meeting Preparation o Lead team’s preparation of agenda for meetings o Prepare summaries and charts for meetings o Email clients prior to meeting with relevant documents Strategy Review o Assist client’s in establishing regular budgets o Life insurance strategies o Work with clients on purchasing real estate, managing divorce and trust/estate planning o Business planning o Assist in selling family-owned businesses Family Office Management o Prepare proposals for individualized family office services o Manage family office related bookkeeping services o Arrange and participate in specialized family office meetings Team Management o Schedule and organize regular internal team meetings o Track requested time off and vacation schedules o Lead training and onboarding of new team members Firm Operations o Oversee investment licensing and insurance o Maintain firm payroll o Ensure and track firm compliance o Oversee firm marketing, PR and growth strategies Qualifications 7 – 10 years’ of experience Self-starter keen to work in small growing team environment Strategic planning and business development experience Strong written and verbal and presentation skills Strong leadership and organizational skills
