About this role
The Global Accounting and Product Services group (GAAPS) is one of the core functions within the Business Operations Group at BlackRock. GAAPS is responsible for Institutional and Commingled fund accounting, Fund Board management, Portfolio & Regulatory Compliance, Transfer Agent and operational infrastructure oversight for BlackRock’s commingled funds (registered and unregistered). In addition, the teams also support Latin America Business Operations, strategic fund conversions, vendor oversight and product lifecycle events.
Your Role
The role is part of the Technology and Development Operations (TDO) team, within the
GAAPS COO
function, and is responsible for managing technology projects designed to deliver scale, reduce risk, and reduce cost to the organization. The role requires a deep understanding of the functions within GAAPS to better comprehend the challenges faced by these functions.
Your Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring collaboration and accountability.
Communicate effectively, including managing expectations for senior leaders.
Track progress, manage risks, and maintain clear project documentation to ensure successful and timely delivery.
Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation
Work with stakeholders to identify areas where technology can be leveraged to improve business processes.
You have…
A strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
Excellent organizational and time management skills
The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication and leadership skills
A technical background to understand and communicate effectively with development teams
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) as well as strong SQL and database knowledge a plus
Interest in the investment management industry and investment products
Familiarity with Robotic Process Automation (RPA), e.g., Blue Prism
Familiarity with data visualization tools, e.g., Splunk, Tableau, Power BI
PMP Certification, or equivalent experience, demonstrating mastery of project management principles (preferred)
For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$162,000.00 – USD$215,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
For Atlanta, GA Only the salary range for this position is USD$148,000.00 – USD$200,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
