Position Overview:
Brinkley Law Firm, LLC is looking for a Firm Administrator to partner closely with the Firm Owner, creating an extension of owner’s vision to manage the Firm’s administrative and business operations. This role functions similarly to a Chief of Staff or Executive Officer, overseeing daily operations, implementing firm policies and systems, and ensuring efficiency in both personnel and facility management. Additionally, this position will collaborate with the Marketing & Operations Director to provide strategic input on budgeting and marketing initiatives, aligning operational goals with the firm’s overall growth strategy. This role is part of the Firm’s senior executive leadership team. Brinkley Law Firm, LLC is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader who excels in strategic planning, project management, and operational oversight. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing a $5M+ annual budget, leading teams of 15+ employees, and overseeing multi-site operations. Success in this role requires adaptability to embrace change while preserving our firm’s culture and vision, accountability and compliance to ensure policies and procedures are effectively implemented and refined, and diplomacy to foster strong relationships and navigate workplace challenges with professionalism. Strong communication skills are essential to inspire and align the team with the firm’s vision while recognizing and rewarding exceptional contributions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support the legal support team and vendors to ensure consistent, high-quality execution of firm operations. Oversee day-to-day operations with a focus on staff coordination, workflow efficiency, and service delivery. Champion a positive and professional firm culture by fostering team cohesion, staff development, and a collaborative work environment. Lead human resources steps for assigned staff, including hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and conflict resolution, to build and retain a strong team. Translate the owner’s vision into actionable strategies that staff can implement consistently across the firm. Develop and enforce standardized systems and procedures that improve staff communication, accountability, and operational clarity. Use operational insights to guide financial processes such as budgeting, payroll, and expense oversight, ensuring alignment with business needs. Monitor key performance indicators and analyze operational data to assess staff performance and identify areas for improvement. Design and execute business strategies that support staff success and drive long-term firm growth and profitability. Oversee management of office facilities, IT systems, and vendor relationships to maintain a functional, well-supported workplace. Collaborate on strategic planning initiatives aimed at staff readiness and capacity for geographic expansion within South Carolina. Ensure that all staff activities align with legal, ethical, and professional standards to uphold firm integrity and compliance.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, HR, or a related field (MBA is a plus). Prior experience running a professional services firm or managing a division of a mid-sized/large professional services firm (law firm experience preferred but not required). SHRM or HRCI certifications are a plus.
Proven Success In:
Managing a team of at least 15+ employees, with authority to hire and fire. Executing a business plan with an operational budget of $5M+. Thriving in a fast-growing, dynamic environment. Strategic decision-making in a senior management role. Designing, implementing, and refining strong operational systems. Utilizing P&L statements and budgets to drive decision-making. Demonstration of these skills in operations leadership at a professional services firm is a must. Demonstration in a legal setting is a plus.
