Job Summary:

The Vice President of Quality Operations will sustain a culture of continuous quality improvement across the Lexington Medical Center (LMC) system. This role is responsible for enterprise-wide quality program coordination, execution of LMC’s Quality Strategic Plan , and alignment with regulatory requirements to drive patient safety and operational success. The VP will lead strategic decision-making, prioritization, and execution of quality/compliance objectives in collaboration with executive leadership.

Qualifications:
Education:

Master’s degree in Nursing required (MBA/MHA/MPH preferred).

Licensure:

Registered Nurse (RN) required.

Experience:

Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership in a system setting, specializing in performance improvement & quality management . At least 5 years in executive leadership.

Experience in:

Medical Staff Office workflows

Population Health & Risk-Based Contracting CMS Conditions of Participation Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic plans to address quality programs, mitigating financial, regulatory, and patient safety risks. Lead enterprise-wide quality improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with high reliability organization principles. Oversee compliance with regulatory bodies, clinical registries, Medicare shared savings goals, and strategic priorities. Maintain excellence within DNV surveys ( CMS Conditions of Participation, Total Joint, Stroke ). Lead performance improvement committees to support LMC initiatives aligned with Institute of Medicine (IOM) aims . Ensure success in Medicare Shared Savings Plan(s) and Medicaid QAP quality incentives . Manage enterprise-wide patient safety initiatives , collaborating with Risk Management . Provide oversight for clinical documentation improvement in primary care and hospital settings. Direct infection control programs , including surgical site infections, regulatory reporting, and surgical bundles. Serve as Magnet designated liaison for APRN nursing practice concerns in the Credentials Committee . Educate hospital leadership and medical staff on regulatory and patient safety issues.
