The Nashville Division President will have full P&Lresponsibility of this DRB Group/Brightland Homes division whileplanning, organizing, and directing activities related to theconstruction, sale, and settlement of single family and townhomecommunities. This will include responsibility for the performanceof all Nashville Division staff (all employees and affiliates) andoperations. General Duties and Responsibilities :

Regularly review performance against operating plans andstandards. Present monthly reports on performance as requested by the AreaPresident. Develop and recommend operations policies to support the mission ofthe Company. Consult with all segments of management responsible for policy oraction. Ensure compliance within area of responsibility. Make recommendations for improving effectiveness of policies andprocedures. Define and recommend objectives in each area of Division Office;develop specific short-term and long-term plans and programs,together with supporting budget requests and financialestimates. Coordinate and collaborate with Corporate Leadership to establishand deliver division commitments. Work with division leaders to identify new land opportunities whilecontinuing to close existing deals. Maintain a strong land pipeline throughout the NashvilleMarket. Presents an annual detailed budget to company executive team. Review and approve functional changes within the DivisionOffice. Establish objectives and procedures governing the performance ofassigned activities. Issue specific annual objectives to immediate subordinates andreview objectives of the Operations Team. Select and maintain qualified personnel for division leadershiproles; review decision requests for all other positions and monitorhiring activity to ensure staffing requirements are met. Direct, monitor, and review the performance of direct reports andprovide the necessary coordination between activities related tocompensation and hiring processes. Identify training needs, initiate development of subordinates, andrecommends effective personnel actions.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, Finance, RealEstate Management or a Business discipline OR equivalentcombination of education and work experience. Minimum 5 years of experience as a successful Operations/Fieldleader within the homebuilding industry with a concentration inoperations, finance, land, sales and/or production. Broad functional experience in areas of production blueprints andspecifications, land acquisition, general knowledge of homebuildingfinancials, and systems knowledge and skills. Sound administrative skills, well-developed management skills -principles and people. Proven ability to recruit, train, and motivate personnel in orderto balance staffing strength with profitability and growth. Strong analytical, numerical, reasoning, and presentation abilitiesto present financials and complex land deals to the executiveleadership team. Participative management type – advocates team concept. Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful andmature. Ability to establish credibility and be decisive, but able torecognize and support the organization’s preferences andpriorities. Strong communication skills, written and verbal. Results-oriented with the ability to balance other businessconsiderations.
