Videos Duties As Contracts Director, the incumbent serves as the principal advisor and assistant to the CMO Commander/Director/Deputy. Develops and/or approves CMO level guidance pertaining to the contracting process. Provides technical assistance, expertise, and oversight for all subordine contract management office activities in administering deleged contracts. Serves as the senior civilian 1102 for managerial, advisory, and technical functions of the Contracts group within the CMO. Works with CMO management and key officials in operion planning, the development of the organizion’s primary mission goals and objectives based on contracting considerions and advising on the contracting implicions of proposed decisions. Basic Contracting Requirement:
A.) A baccalauree degree from an accredited educional institution authorized to grant baccalauree degrees OR B.) a current civilian employee in DoD or member of the Armed Forces, who occupied an 1102 position, contracting officer position, or comparable military contracting position with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold on or before September 30, 2000 are excluded from the requirements of “A” above. Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience th equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in, or reled to, this position. To qualify for the NH-04 level, specialized experience must be the NH-03 or GS-13 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or prive sector. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Leading and/or supervising a group of professionals and technical employees responsible for the oversight and implemention of all contracting processes and initiives. Developing and/or providing guidance on contracting policies and procedures. Exercising authority over a wide range of personnel actions, including interviewing, selection, awards and disciplinary actions. Overseeing and monitoring employee training.
