Job Duties:

The Contract Monitor performs contract monitoring activities related to the review and analysis of SCDSS programs and services; participates in activities related to monitoring, evaluation, and quality assurance of contracts and participates in monitoring solicitations procured by or on behalf of SCDSS. Requests and critically examines data from SCDSS to identify trends and examine for accuracy. Utilizes data from various sources for compiling contract reports to demonstrate monitoring outcomes, programs evaluation, and quality assurance efforts. Analyzes, reviews, and makes recommendations for a variety of SCDSS contracts, programs, and services. Takes the leadership role in conducting meetings with contractors, subcontractors, and other external stakeholders as needed while facilitating ongoing program improvements. Plans, develops, and implements administrative activities along with providing relevant feedback to SCDSS Administration. Leads the initiative of implementation of the interpretation of state laws, federal regulations, and policies and procedures as they relate to RFPs and contracted programs and/or services. Participates in the development and monitoring of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) as needed based on the scope of work defined in the area contracts. Completes special projects to inform program areas of practices that are conducted at the request of SCDSS Administration. Performs other related duties as required. Minimum and Additional Requirements A Bachelor’s Degree and four (4) years of professional experience in social services programs, correctional, education, business administration, general administrative management, or relevant program experience. A Master’s Degree and two (2) years of professional experience in social services programs, correctional, education, business administration, general administrative management, or relevant program experience.
