GRANTS & CONTRACTS OFFICER

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a Grants and Contracts Officer responsible for maintaining frequent contact with researchers and project administrators throughout the university and external for-profit funding sources to provide pre and post-award support in the development, review, and submission of all routine and complex grant and contract funding opportunities for compliance with UAB, state, federal, industry or sponsor regulations. Additionally, this position involves extensive contract negotiation with the for-profit funding sources. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organizational skills, and knowledge of PC applications, database knowledge, and data analysis skills. The ability to work as a team is a must, and a legal background is helpful. Salary Range:

$57,940 – $94,150 Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Science, or related field and five (5) years of related experience required.
