Position Summary We are seeking candidates who are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Contract Administrator to join our team. The selected candidate will work at our office in Huntsville. The person in this role will be responsible for managing and administering contracts within the defense industry. This role requires a strong understanding of government contracting regulations, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously. The Contract Administrator will ensure that all contract terms and conditions are met and will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful contract execution.
What You’ll Do Contract Management:
Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, including government and subcontract agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations. Manage contract modifications, extensions, and renewals. Monitor contract performance and deliverables to ensure adherence to terms and conditions.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other applicable government regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts and related documents.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with internal department stakeholders to ensure contract requirements are understood and met. Liaise with government representatives and subcontractors to resolve any contract-related issues.
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate contractual risks. Provide guidance on contract terms and conditions to internal stakeholders.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and maintain contract documentation, to include but not limited to contract specific deliverables. Ensure timely submission of required reports and deliverables.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or related field or equivalent years’ experience in lieu of degree. Minimum 5 years of experience in contract/subcontract administration, preferably within the defense industry. Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or equivalent certification is a plus In-depth knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other government contracting regulations. Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint modules, specifically the Capture & Contracts module and Microsoft Office Suite.
