Description of Duties:

The IT Project Estimator supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.

The candidate will:

Manage a portfolio of highly complex proposals from development to award with a focus on the development and proposal process. Facilitate proposal meetings and guide the applicable technical teams in developing contractual deliverables on time. Plan and schedule contract deliverables using established Earned Value tool sets- with a focus on proposal documentation. Manage expectations, resolve issues and conflicts, and build mitigation plans. Author and deliver proposals, status reports, and executive level presentations. Estimate time, labor, subcontract labor, travel, shipping, IT materials, and product costs to determine the overall cost for IT projects. Prepare written proposals and cost estimates by collaborating with the Project Management Office, Business Relationship Managers, numerous technical teams, IRES Contracting Team and Government Stakeholders. Monitor Government provided systems for real-time proposal notifications. Manage multiple proposal developments and deliver on time. Resumes, in month and year format, must be submitted with application in order to be considered for the position. The selected candidate may be assigned as an employee for one of our teammate companies.

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 6 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 4 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 0 years of general experience. Must have 4 years of directly related experience Proven ability to collaborate with technical teams, Sr Management and Clients Must be detail oriented, organized and have time management skills Ability to work independently on assignments Be proficient in MS Office with a focus on Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project. Have strong math skills and above average computer skills Have critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems and make effective decisions Have above average written and verbal communication skills Be familiar with IT terminology Must have an active DoD Secret clearance

Desired Requirements:

Have IT-related proposal development experience Familiar with the MDA Have a PMP certification Have experience with Earned Value Management contracts Have experience facilitating high dollar-value proposal developments ranging in complexity Have experience in traditional waterfall and/or agile proposal development This position is expected to pay $77,600 – $102,600 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position. This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days.
