Job Summary:
The College Research Coordinator II assists researchers and staff within a department, unit, or college with proposal preparation and review, proposal budget development, award administration, and related activities under moderate supervision. Provides guidance on compliance with Federal, State, and Local government regulations related to pre-award and/or post-award sponsored project activities. Participates in training as required by the Office for Research & Economic Development and serves as a liaison for the college to ORED.

Department Summary:
Works directly with engineering faculty members to coordinate research proposal development. Assists with the preparation of impactful research proposals. Coordinates grant writing efforts. Assists with budget preparation. Facilitates compliance documentation. Prepares various administrative portions of research proposals such as current and pending support forms, and evaluate program solicitations to determine feasibility. Facilitates the development of strategic partnerships and collaborates with college and central research administration to ensure adherence to University policies and procedures.
Required Department Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a science, technology, engineering, or math field and two (2) years of experience in proposal, contract, or research project development administration; OR master’s degree in a science, technology, engineering, or math field.
Skills and Knowledge:
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to effectively interact with a broad community of faculty, researchers, scientists, industrial partners, program managers, staff, students, and funding agencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
vanced degree in a science, technology, engineering, or math field. Experience coordinating a writing team for one or more large scale proposals. Experience in strategic partnership development. Knowledge or experience with research regulations and compliance.
