Collins Aerospace is looking to hire a Contracts Senior Manager to join our Large Military Engines (LME) team. This position will be based out of our Windsor-Locks (WLOX), CT, facility in a hybrid capacity, and is an integral part of a team of customer facing contracts professionals working primarily with our Pratt & Whitney customer. This position provides advice and expertise on complex contractual matters. This position supports the F135 program, the Advanced and Adaptive program, the Operational Military Engines (OME) program, and the Collins Engine Nozzles (CEN) value stream which is new business and includes both the F135 Engine Core Upgrade (ECU) and F119 programs. In addition, this position will manage a team of 4 contracts professionals who are either local to WLOX or remote. As a Contracts Senior Manager, you will be interacting with internal and external customers daily to provide excellent customer service and advise and represent the organization on complex contractual matters. This position is for an experienced contracts senior manager with solid experience in the formation and administration of military contracts for aftermarket and production programs. You will primarily manage complex contracts, recommend strategy in support of business interests, and communicate and influence senior functional leaders regarding matters of significant importance. You will also be responsible for strategy of CEN growth related to additive manufacturing value stream and support CEN new business opportunities and future wins. Finally, you will need a federal government “SECRET” clearance or the ability to obtain that clearance in short order. This is a dynamic, hybrid position supporting a significant value stream within the Power & Controls strategic business unit of Collins Aerospace with opportunities for exposure to senior levels of management and continued career development. What You Will Do Propose, negotiate, and execute contracts of high complexity, and lead, develop, and coach direct reports to execute their tasks. Review contractual documents, review terms and conditions, lead contract flow down processes, provide requirement interpretation and guidance to direct reports, and other contract administration tasks. Provide guidance and direction to a team of direct reports, ensure a plan for their development, oversee their job functions, provide performance feedback and support, and flow communications from senior leadership as required. Summarize contractual issues, research compliance matters, interpret regulations, identify risks, advise on intellectual property concerns and formulate and present recommendations to senior leadership and aftermarket leadership. Draft formal correspondence to address contractual matters and aid in dispute resolution. Support and collaborate with internal functional organizations (Finance, VSL, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Pricing, Legal) in the daily program execution and proposal processes. Support special projects and process improvements events, as needed. Supporting, preparing, and presenting a variety of review packages to senior leadership internally and to customer. Coaches, guides, trains and mentors junior contract professionals and reviews their work to ensure output is of quality and in accordance with business objectives.
