Job Description:
This Contracts position is responsible for managing government and commercial customers in responding to Request for Proposals (RFP) review terms and conditions and perform risk assessment, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities for assigned Maritime contracts/programs.
Essential Functions:
Serves as the primary communication conduit between L3Harris and the respective Maritime customers Provides proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer requirements Analyzes material estimates, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness Works with cross-functional team to prepare proposals and approvals Prepares and conducts negotiations Ability to think critically, problem solve and work independently Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work in a team environment Ability to multi-task and determine priorities while working on multiple assignments Ability to negotiate contract terms and conditions with commercial, international and US Government customers Champions change management process with internal and external team Advises management of contractual rights and obligations Ability to clearly present information to broad audience, inclusive of management Travel and work extended hours as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. Experience with responding to customer RFPs and performing end to end Government Contracts management. Experience negotiating terms and conditions including FAR and DFAR MS Office Suite Proficience Ability to obtain US Government security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship Strong written and verbal communication skills
