Full Job Description Location:
The Florida Division – Lutz, Florida About this opportunity: Coordinates, processes, and tracks all grants and contracts administered by the Division; serves as a technical resource to local Corps applying for grants and contract funding. Maintains current knowledge of issues related to grants and contract administration. Ensure the Division’s grants and contracts are in compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures. Undertakes special projects as assigned or initiated, including presentations, conference planning, and other department assignments.
Key responsibilities:
Coordinates, organizes, and processes contracts in their entirety for review by the Divisional Finance Board in a timely manner to ensure turnaround time falls within the deadlines set by contracting agencies; reviews contracts for compliance with government regulations and Salvation Army policies; check budget figures, reviews social services Grants and Contracts Module for accuracy and completes the Divisional review. Organizes and processes contracts to meet deadlines in a timely manner; coordinates schedules with Corps/Divisional Headquarters/Territorial Headquarters to meet specified timelines; serves as liaison/contact person between Corps and Territorial Headquarters in processing grants. Provides expertise to the Corps by guiding them in writing and applying for grants and contracts; presents workshops/seminars on grant/contract writing and preparation for submission for approval. Advises and guides Corps in the accuracy and completeness of documents; educates field personnel in submitting the same; ensures they are complete and eliminates consistent errors in submission What we are looking for in you: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field Five years of progressively responsible experience performing grants management work, Any equivalent combination of training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language. Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Work requires traveling to office sites located throughout the state of Florida.
