MILVETS is currently seeking a temporary, part-time, on-site, Contract Biller. Contract Biller Responsibilities Required tasks to be performed by the Contract Biller include, but are not limited to the following: Timely processing of billings, cash receipts and revenue reconciliations. Obtain contract information from Director of Contracts. Assign charge numbers for new projects. Set up and maintain project master file in Costpoint. Maintain contract workforce files. Monitor contract funding. Review contracts and modifications to understand contractual billing requirements and ensure invoices comply with contract terms. Generate timely monthly and bimonthly invoices for customers and distribute according to contract terms, resolving any issues with customers. Ensure all contractual invoices comply with the FAR and DCAA regulations. Work closely with employees and accounts payable to resolve any travel or billing issues. Review and record cash receipts and follow up on collection status. Identify and reconcile short payments, over payments and unauthorized deductions. Reconcile unbilled receivables on a monthly basis. Record and reconcile revenue monthly. Reconcile the AR subsidiary ledger to the general ledger each month. Manage registrations with various Government agencies. Process wire transfers and credit card payments entered by Sr. Accountant AP. Maintain the company’s accounting records and files in an organized manner. Under the direction of the Companie’s outside accounting firm, ensure procedures are followed for tax planning and compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes. Perform other related administrative and accounting tasks as required. Prepare monthly borrowing base certificate. Reconcile bank accounts. Timely reporting and payment of GSA schedule and other fees. Complete other duties as assigned by management.
Contract Biller Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience. Three plus years of experience with Deltek Costpoint 7.0 or higher in accounting and time and expense. Able to handle competing deliverables with various levels of complexity. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to manage projects within cost and schedule. Strong understanding of Government contracting including compliance with the FAR and indirect rates. Strong problem-solving aptitude required; must be able to analyze client needs and leverage accounting systems effectively to create value to customers. Experience with payroll – Paychex a plus. Must provide a criminal background check, be bondable and have a valid Florida Drivers’ License. Successful candidates will possess the ability to execute highly detailed and precise work under tight deadlines.
