Job Summary:

Expectation of this function requires strict attention to detail, clear communication and leadership of cross-functional teams. Technical knowledge of Contract Management is expected to be broad and deep enough to identify areas of concern and obtain final solutions. Possess ability to work as part of a team of senior managers and technical personnel. Good organizational skills with an analytical / logical approach. Able to collect information and solve problems of medium complexity relating to assigned projects in an unsupervised fashion.

Essential Functions:

Must be able to work independently and as an integral member of the Falcon’s Attractions team, interacting daily with a variety of levels of management both within the company and within customer organizations. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Review and negotiate terms and conditions for all Falcon’s Attractions commercial proposals, contracts and other agreements, in accordance with Company, Division and Project guidelines and procedures. Provide contracts advice and support to the Management Team of Falcon’s Attractions. Ensuring compliance with contract requirements, including deliverables and milestones. Identification, communication, and resolution of all contract change orders/contract claims in support of the Project Manager. Interface with Purchasing Management to develop subcontract policies and procedures. Development of subcontractor work statements, specifications and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services. Negotiation of subcontract agreements and administration of resulting subcontracts, including additions, deletions or modifications to subcontracts, and subcontractor claim settlement. Responsible for all intellectual property activities, including coordination with in-house intellectual property counsel in the management of patent/trademark/copyright studies and coordination of provisional and non-provisional patent application filings. Participate in Bids and Proposals The above list is only a representative sample of what the Contracts Manager might be called upon to do on a daily basis. Candidate must be able to work in a multi-task, fast-paced environment. There will be occasions when candidate may perform other special projects or duties as required by the Falcon’s Attractions Management team. Supervisory Responsibilities This position may have supervisory responsibilities for Contracts and Subcontract Administrators as needed. Reporting Relationship This position reports to the Director of Project Management.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

B.S. or B.A. required, advanced degree a plus Contract management certification preferred 5+ years Contracts Administration experience and at least two years of Contracts Management experience. Sound knowledge of contracts administration, subcontract administration and related disciplines. Excellent communication and problem solving skills required. Extensive commercial contracting experience required; international business experience is a strong plus. Familiarity with financial and accounting principles. Sound knowledge of related UCC disciplines. Must possess good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to successfully interact with all levels of the Company and subcontractor organizations. Experience in Theme Park industry a strong plus. The use of computer programs, including Microsoft Word, is necessary as well as general familiarization with the internet including ability for research. Periodic U.S. and international travel may be required.
