CONTRACT ANALYST

Vista Parkway, WPB Hours:

8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday – Friday Performs detailed review, analysis, and formulation of formal written contractual agreements, including those items to be brought before the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). Ensures the County’s contractual procedures (procurement, administrative, management, operational, and informational systems) are functioning effectively and efficiently to maximize control of governmental contracts in accordance with current federal/state/County laws and regulations. Reviews and analyzes the contractual operations of the Department/divisions and agencies under the control of the BOCC. Monitors administration and management of contractual policies and procedures to ensure compliance with such policies and procedures while using considerable independent judgment, discretion, and initiative. Work is performed under the general supervision of a Contract Manager and is reviewed by observation of results obtained/periodic written reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Public Administration, Management, or related field; minimum of two (2) years of responsible experience in contracts administration, including experience in management or financial analysis/operations research.

Equivalencies :

Unrelated Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) years of responsible experience in contract administration, including experience in management or financial analysis/operations research; related Associate’s Degree AND four (4) years of related experience; graduation from high school/equivalent recognized certification AND six (6) years of related experience.

PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE WITH

: Federal/state/local laws pertaining to public/governmental contracts; contract compliance and the principles and practices of public/governmental contract administration and management; auditing/reviewing, design and construction contracts for compliance (must specify on application) ; negotiating procurement contracts; developing departmental evaluation criteria.
