The Opportunity:
The Contract Bankruptcy Specialist manages accounts during the bankruptcy process to ensure adherence to bankruptcy laws and regulations. The candidate should be knowledgeable about creditor’s rights and capable of processing and reviewing bankruptcy-related documents to reduce risk and losses with the bankruptcy department.
What You Will Do:
Monitor bankruptcy accounts to ensure adherence to bankruptcy laws and regulations
Code and document bankruptcy accounts within the systems used by the business to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal requirements
Research all aspects of bankruptcy accounts, including court filings, payments received, deadlines, and processing of legal documents
Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Must possess strong organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and adapt to change
Other duties as assigned
The Experience You Will Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in business and/or a related field or 6 years of equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
1-3 years of bankruptcy experience
Possess working knowledge of bankruptcy processes from a creditor’s rights perspective
Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and Excel
Must be able to communicate professionally to customers, teammates, and all internal and external partners
Ability to work in high pressure environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written communication and analytical skills
