The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Grant Specialist, Pre-Award on the Dahlonega campus. This position is responsible for assisting with proposal development and submission activities. The incumbent will work with other OSP staff and university stakeholders to promote and provide assistance with pre-award sponsored projects activities.
Assist faculty and staff with finding funding opportunities and with the development of grant proposals, budgets, and other application materials.
Review proposals and any relevant guidance to ensure all internal and external requirements are met, and ensure successful submission of proposals.
Provide editing assistance in all aspects of the funding cycle.
Assist with pre-award and other department activities to promote external funding at UNG.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Experience with editing and/or writing
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills; Detail-oriented, Excellent communication skill; Critical thinking skills.
Ability to quickly learn new software systems and online applications.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Three years of experience in written communication required.
Experience in research administration preferred.
