The Contract Specialist will report to the Senior Contract Specialist. Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in one of numerous fields: paralegal studies, business, administration, law, or similar. Paralegal and/or Legal Administrative Assistant experience preferred. Responsibilities Responsible for every phase of contract development Collaborate with team to ensure contracts meet specific needs of projects Write, negotiate, finalize, and track the organization’s contracts with external parties Serve as the main liaison with outside contracting representatives Conduct legal research as needed Prepare contractual agreements using current research methods and knowledge of client’s needs and ability to fulfill its requirements Ensure that the terms of contractual agreements are written to be legally binding, are in accordance with the desires of the client, and are compliant with local policies and all applicable federal and state regulations Track Certificates of Insurance, requesting new Certificates of Insurance upon expiration each month Self-monitor progress according to the schedule of completion to submit drafts and documents in a timely manner Proofread, edit, and fact-check legal documents for accuracy and consistency, according to a style guide if provided by the client Handle sensitive and privileged information with the utmost care and discretion May perform other similar or related duties which may not be specifically included within this position description, but which are consistent with the general level of the responsibilities described Required Skills Bachelor’s degree or higher in one of numerous fields: paralegal studies, business, administration, law, or similar Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and communication skills Ability to work independently as well as the ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others Excellent organizational and research skills Proficient in MS Office, Bluebeam, Adobe Suite
