A Proposal Manager is responsible for managing the proposal development process, including coordinating with various teams to gather necessary information, writing and editing proposal content, ensuring compliance with requirements, and managing the submission process. They may also assist in developing proposal strategies, conducting research, and maintaining proposal databases. This role requires strong communication, organization, and project management skills. Responsible for coordinating various aspects of proposal preparation to ensure that all parts are completed and produced for submission within the set timeframe. Ensures that documents are secure and in keeping with company standards. May involve evaluating and clarifying client requests prior to submission and participating in pre-proposal meetings. Collaborates with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, finance, legal, operations) to gather accurate data and compelling content. Develops standardized templates, tools, and best practices for proposal development to improve efficiency and consistency. Conducts post-submission debriefs and win/loss analysis to drive continuous improvement in proposal quality and success rates. Maintains a content library of reusable proposal components and ensures all materials are up to date and aligned with brand standards. Stays informed on industry trends, competitors, and client needs to tailor proposals effectively. May contribute to pricing strategy, bid compliance, and risk identification as part of proposal development. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
